Laraine Hougen's bread maker recipes

I mix these buns in my bread maker and shape them into buns to rise.
You can make them with a mixer too, it is just not as easy. I put fillings
in the buns and wrap them individually, then freeze for quick lunches.
It makes preparing lunches for the kids in the mornings so much easier.
The kids like chopped ham & cheese. (I just use ham slices usually
and a tsp of cheese whiz or part of a cheese slice. Try and enclose it
well in the dough so the cheese doesn't leak out while baking

¼ cup of margarine or butter. Chop up into little pieces
¼ cup of sugar
Pour ½ cup of boiling water over marg & sugar.
Let sit until melted in the bread maker pan
Then add
1 beaten egg
¾ cup milk
3 2/3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp. of yeast

Set on dough setting, Shape and let rise.
Bake at 375 for about 12 - 15 minutes. Enjoy

Cinnamon Buns

I also use this same recipe for cinnamon buns

Roll one ball of dough to a thin rectangle. Brush with melted butter
Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar
6 tsp of cinnamon (or more)
½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Roll like a jelly roll and slice into 12 buns
Combine 1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of brown sugar.

Spread in bottom of 9 X12 pans. Cover and let rise for about ¾ of an hour. Bake at 375Degrees F. for about 25 to 30 minutes. Immediately turn upside down after removing from oven. I put it on a sheet of tin foil. Careful it will be really hot.

These are my son's favorite! They freeze well individually too.
